Just before corona came into the world I discovered Studio Ins and outs. My first book was a holiday diary, after which many more books followed. I have always made scrapbooks for the children, but the books and collections of SIO have stolen my heart.

In corona time my husband and I went for a walk, like many with us. When normal life returned, we wanted to keep walking and decided to walk Het Pieterpad. This is a long distance walk from Pieterburen in Groningen to Sint Pieterberg near Maastricht. It is about 500 km divided into 26 stages. We try to run one weekend a month, with or without an overnight stay (or two). In addition to walking, it is also wonderful to be away together and chat. We started in January and you can see nature change from winter, spring to summer. Every season and every province has different, beautiful faces. You walk through the woods, over the heath and through various villages. The Netherlands is beautiful!

Of course I had to make a book out of it. You can guess the title: The Pieterpad.
Along the way I am busy taking the most beautiful pictures to be able to capture the memories in my book. My husband sometimes gets tired of it: do you have to take a picture again? Just keep going….

Sometimes, while walking, I already have in my head exactly what the page should look like. But other times the layout only emerges after I have printed photos. The nice thing is that the relaxation still lingers after such a weekend because I am going to paste the pages. This is also the only book with which I am completely up to date.

I mainly use the botanical set because I think that look fits nicely with the nature photos.

And when I show the result to my hubby, he invariably says: very nice darling!
Then you shouldn't complain if I stop again to take another picture!
