I am proud to launch the SIO Community App on 19 April during the KreaDoe Spring Festival. The place for all your slice, fill-in and scrapbook inspiration.
And now I hear you think: but we do that on Facebook anyway? And that's right! When I started that group about 6 years ago, I never dreamed that it would grow into such a cozy and large group. And I'm unwisely proud of that!
But I also run into limits. Facebook changes the rules and options every once in a while, it is difficult for me to make an overview and structure and not everyone has and wants Facebook.
The dream has been for years to create a place where I can bring like-minded creatives together without depending on the big Facebook. And I have now found it and made it.
The app gives me the opportunity to create a community with structure, where I can share news and organize challenges. And not entirely unimportant: because no longer do all 'free'. I do the facilitation of the Facebook group with love, but it also takes a lot of time. Time that is scarce now that I run SIO alone. That also allows me to put in less time than I would like.
Entrepreneurship remains a challenge, particularly in the industry in which I work by small margins. By offering a paid platform I secure the right of Studio Ins & Outs to exist and I know that I can add even more value. By bringing people together with the same hobby and sharing inspiration.
Does the Facebook group disappear then?In the long run, yes. My presence, which unfortunately was already minimal, disappears but my ownership does not. The idea is that the app replaces the Facebook group. Where you can safely share your pages, ask questions and find the challenges. The social media channels such as Instagram and TikTok continue to exist. They are my main marketing tools.
I understand you might have 100 more questions. And for that, I like to refer you to the page where you will hopefully find the answers there. But I was keen to start by explaining why I believe in this app. Don't hesitate to send me an email if you haven't been able to find an answer to your question. That helps me make the page and FAQ complete.
Love, Irene
